Water Blessing
Water Blessing – March 23, 2013
You're invited! In support of the Idle No More World-Wide Water Day of action we are gathering for an afternoon to take a stand in unity against coal trains, tar sands, and tankers/pipelines. We will have speakers from local WA tribes, Protect the Sacred, The Backbone Campaign, and Compassionate Seattle to share about their concerns regarding these detrimental environmental issues and how it will impact us and future generations.
There will be Native students from the Highline First Peoples Center to speak about their experience of fasting in support of Chief Spence! Please come and show your support for our future generation of idle No More!
We will have a Water Blessing Ceremony, so please bring a container of water to participate in pouring our prayers, blessings, and water into the sacred Salish Sea. Round Dance Revolution to follow! Bring your drums/rattles, songs, and signs!
